Deborah Graudenz, MFT

Welcome

It’s been my privilege to work with children, teens and their families for 30 years.

I know that seeking the help of a therapist can be a tough decision.  In my work I help children, teens and families find their strengths and facilitate learning to use those strengths to navigate challenges, difficult times or situations, repair relationships and rediscover excitement and joy in their lives.  I use different types of therapy, depending on the age and needs of my clients.

  • Play therapy is the best way to work with children in therapy, because play really is the language of children
  • With teens I use a combination of more traditional “talk therapy,” along with art, music, poetry and, yes, even play.
  • My work with parents involves helping them understand the developmental stages their children are negotiating, finding useful ways to set loving and firm limits, and discovering ways to enter their children’s world.
  • In family therapy I work with the whole family to help them improve lines of communication, overcome a problem that’s affecting all of them, learn again to appreciate each other, identify patterns and behaviors that aren’t working, and learn new ones that do.

If you’re reading this page, more than likely something isn’t working well for someone in your family.  Wouldn’t you like to change that?
